Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams Review and Swatches

Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams Review and Swatches

Hello ladies,

So today I am here with the review of the much loved Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams which are considered to be a dupe of the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams. I got them in the shade 5,7,11,16A ,18A. I always wanted to try out the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams but as they were not readily available in India so I decided to try out their cheaper counterpart i.e. the Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams. I ordered them through an insta store as they were not available in my town.

Product Details: It’s not a lipstick nor is it a gloss. It’s nothing like you have experienced before. It’s a lipstick that goes on smoothly but looks matte.

Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams Review and Swatches

Price: Rs.200 each.

Price and Availability:

There is no price mentioned on the packaging so the price varies from the place you are buying them from. They are available at various cosmetic stores in New Delhi and Mumbai or other metro cities but they were nowhere available in my town so I bought them through a Insta store. They are also available on Ebay, Amazon and Shopclues.

Packaging of the Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams:

Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams come in a transparent plastic cylindrical packaging with a black screw cap. The shade numbers are written on the bottom of the bottle. As they are transparent you can easily identify the shades and pick it up from your stash. The lip creams come with a doe foot applicator which is attached to the cap. The applicator picks up the right amount of product and spreads the lip cream evenly on the lips. The packaging is very lightweight so it is very travel friendly. You can easily carry it around in your handbag or even your clutch.

Pigmentation of the Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams:

The pigmentation of the Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams is very good. It requires only 2 swipes to make it opaque. For further pigmentation you can wait for the first layer to dry and add another layer to make it look more vibrant and bright. I sometimes also like to apply a lip liner underneath to make the lip cream last for a longer duration. The lighter shades are a bit less pigmented than the deeper ones. The lip creams do not bleed at all. It sort of gets a crumbled look when you apply 2-3 layers so I like to smear it up with my finger and make it look a bit even. The color pay off of these lip creams is very nice. It hides all sort of pigmentation on the lips.

Texture of the Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams:

The texture of this lip creams is very creamy and light on the lips. It feels like you are applying butter to your lips, it is so soft and smooth. It goes on very smoothly on the lips like any other liquid lipstick and it settles down to a matte finish in 10 minutes after application. The matte finish of these lip creams is very comfortable to wear. If sometimes I feel a bit dry, I just dab a lip balm on top of the lip cream and it gives me  enough moisturization. It is non transferable too. As it settles down to a matte finish so it is always advisable to exfoliate your lips before application.

Staying Power of the Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams:

The staying power of these lip creams is very impressive. These stay on my lips for somewhere between 6-7 hours with light snacks and drinks in between. I usually do not need to re-apply it all day through. If I am going out for lunch or dinner I touch up after the meal because it fades a little bit after eating.

Shades of the Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams:

Shade No.5: This is a subtle coral pink shade with a light peachy undertone to it. The shade looks very flattering on fair skin tones. It is a perfect daytime and everyday shade. I totally adore this one. I can wear this one on my lips all days of the week.
