Home Remedy to Get Rid of Split Ends

Hello everyone,

Today I will be sharing with you all my diy recipe that will help you to get rid of split ends within a month’s time. It is a super easy as well as a very effective home remedy too. Split ends can make our hair look awful. There are several reasons for getting split ends such as over brushing of the hair, using too many chemical colors on your hair, using a lot of heating tools on your hair, vigorous rubbing of the hair with a towel and also a unhealthy diet. Split ends are very tough to repair.


The sure shot way to get rid of split ends is to chop off your hair but if you still continue with some bad hair habits they may come back. It is always not possible to cut our hair everytime we have split ends so today I will be sharing a diy home remedy with you all that will help you to get rid of split ends. Follow this remedy continuously for 2 months and you will see that slowly your hair is recovering from the split ends.


Ingredients Required:
  • One egg yolk.
  • 3 Tbsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
  • 1 Tbsp of Organic Honey.
  • Break one egg into a bowl and separate the egg yolk. Next add 3 Tbsp of Olive Oil to the yolk and mix properly.
  • Next add in 1 Tbsp of Honey to it and again mix it so that you get a homogeneous mixture.


How to Apply The Hair Mask:
  • Detangle your hair and divide it into sections.
  • Take a hair pack brush and apply the hair mask on your entire hair length, starting from the root of the hair to the tip, concentrating more on the hair ends.
  • Apply a little more quantity of the mask to the ends of the hair, from where the hair starts splitting.
  • Wrap your hair up in a high bun and cover with a shower cap.
  • Leave it on your hair for 2 hours.
  • Wash off normal water with a mild shampoo.


This easy hair mask with help you to get rid of split ends completely. I had been suffering from split ends, as soon as my hair would grow past my waist they would start splitting. I even got them cut twice but they would again start splitting. I tried out this hair mask and used it religiously for 3 months, twice a week and after 2 months I could see that the split ends were finally reducing. After using it for 3 months all my hair had repaired itself and all the split ends were gone. I use it twice every month now also and this hair mask not only helps my hair from splitting, it also makes my hair super soft and shiny. It is also a very nourishing and conditioning hair mask.   3. This sounds like a really great mask. But with the winters approaching I’d be too lazy and cold to apply hair packs 🙁

    • Anumeha I am too getting very lazy to use hair packs these days but sometimes I apply it and sit in the sun.This is a very effective hair mask.
