Nature Sure Jonk Oil- Leech Oil Review

Hello everyone,

As all of you might be aware that I am a big time Diy addict, I don’t ever remember that I have ever purchased a hair oil from the market. Like all Indian households I have grown up seeing my Mom making diy hair oils at home, adding in different kinds of carrier oils, different herbs and ingredients to the oils like curry leaves, fenugreek, hibiscus flowers and what not. I love oiling my hair and I make it a point to oil my hair twice a week. Nothing is more relaxing that a comforting hot oil massage after a hectic day. Head massages with homemade hair oils is my thing.

A couple of months back a brand sent over few of their products to me. One of the products was the Nature Sure Jonk Oil- Leech Oil. I had seen a lot of reviews of the Leech Oil on Youtube and everyone had great reviews about it so I was pretty excited to try it out.

How to Use the Nature Sure Jonk Oil- Leech Oil:

Before going to bed, apply Nature Sure Jonk Oil- Leech Oil on the roots of your hair and scalp. Massage gently for 15 minutes with your fingertips. Leave it overnight and wash your hair with lukewarm water the next morning.

My Experience with the Nature Sure Jonk Oil- Leech Oil:

The Nature Sure Jonk Oil- Leech Oil comes in a blue and white coloured cardboard box with all the details about the product mentioned on it. The oil comes in a very cute emerald coloured plastic bottle with a flip top. I like when hair oils comes with a flip top cap because  then the hair oil application process becomes easy for me.

The Nature Sure Jonk Oil- Leech Oil is very light weight and does not feel greasy at all. It spreads easily on the scalp. Now comes the dud part for me. The Nature Sure Jonk Oil- Leech Oil has a very very strong pungent smell to it, it’s almost intolerable for me. I have migraine issues and products with a strong, overpowering or pungent smell gives me a severe headache. I took the oil in a bowl and the moment I sniffed it, damn, it was such a foul smelling hair oil. I had to review it so I anyhow applied the hair oil on my scalp and hair, the moment the hair oil was applied on my scalp it gave me that heavy dizzy feeling. The instructions suggest that you should keep this hair oil overnight but inspite of trying to keep it overnight I washed my hair after an hour. There are some products whose smell kind of fades off after a few minutes post application but the pungent smell of this hair oil didn’t fade off at all, not even a tad bit.

Nature Sure Jonk Oil- Leech Oil Review

I washed off my hair within an hour post application. Post wash my hair felt soft and silky, there wasn’t much hair fall when I brushed my hair so I can say that it a pretty ok hair oil for someone who can do with the overpowering smell of the hair oil. I don’t understand why don’t brands add mild fragrance to their pungent smelling products. I tried adding a few drops of essential oil to it but the smell of the oil is so pungent and overpowering that the essential oil also couldn’t help.

I agree that I am a migraine patient and I have issues with strong fragrances but I asked my husband to use the oil but as soon as he opened the bottle the reaction was same, he also found the smell to be very pungent and strong. The Nature Sure Jonk Oil- Leech Oil might be a good quality hair oil but when I can’t apply it because of the smell, it does not matter how good the hair oil is. If the brand reads this review I would urge them to add some pleasing fragrance to their oil or try and make the product tolerable so that people like me can apply it.

Nature Sure Jonk Oil- Leech Oil Review

I could not use the Nature Sure Jonk Oil- Leech Oil hair oil the second time so I cannot comment on the long term effects of the hair oil but the results after the first time application were quite satisfactory. So if you want to try out something different and if you do not have issues with the fragrance, go ahead and try the Nature Sure Jonk Oil- Leech Oil.
