My Take on the ColorPop Lumiere Lippie Stix:
The lippie stix comes in a minty green sleek cardboard packaging with white polka dots all over with the company and product name on it. The lipstick comes in a long white bullet packaging which is color coded on one side. You will also find the name of the shade on one end of the packaging which makes it easy to pull out the desired shade from the lipstick stash. Once you open the cap the retractable part of the lippe stix is also color coded. The lipstick bullet is pretty thin as compared to other lipsticks. I have very thin lips so the thin bullet isn’t an issue for me but for someone with fuller lips will have to go in 3-4 times to fill in their lips with this bullet.
The company claims that it is a matte formula and it does give you a totally matte finish. It is not that drying on the lips but you certainly need to exfoliate your lips prior to application so that it does not accentuate the dry patches on the lips. It does settle into fine lines so exfoliation is a must before application of this lipstick. Inspite of being a matte lipstick both of these lippie stix feel very comfortable on the lips. I apply a thin layer of lip balm underneath the lipstick and both of the lippies feel very comfortable. They do not dry out the lips like other matte lipsticks do so I would say that I am very satified with how light and comfortable they feel on my lips.
The pigmentation of the lipstick is quiet good, you just need to swipe it once on the lips and you are good to go. It covers all the pigmentation on the lips so that is a good aspect of this lippie. I hate when lip pigmentation peeks out through the lipsticks but you won’t face this issue with these two shades. They are such bright shades and are highly pigmented which is why I am loving them so much.
Shade Love Life:
The shade Love Life is a very bright orangish rust shade which goes completely matte on application. I love the finish of this lipstick as it is completely matte. The shade is such a beautiful vibrant shade which instantly brightens up your complexion.
The shade Poppin is a very very bright neon pink fuschia shade with blue undertones to it. I am in love with this shade. It is such a bright shade, so my kind of shade. This shade is perfect for days when you do not want to wear any makeup, you can just apply this lipstick and you are good to go. It can certainly transform your gloomy days, it is that kind of shade. If you are someone who loves bright lipsticks then this one is a must have for you.
The lipstick has no fragrance at all which is a big plus point for me because I hate fragrance in lipsticks. The color stays on my lips for around 5 hours and fades off slightly from the corners after having meals. It does not transfer at all so you do not need to re-apply it after every 2 hours.
